And just to say about the tacos, i read someone say that they were just as good as the Burger King Tacos, yeah if you are going up there at 2am after a drunkin fest, cuz the only time they taste good is then!!!

Over the years I have heard how great Jack tacos were. I had never been to a Jack until I saw the new one on 18th St. Took my son there and we tried a hamburger and tacos. NOT impressed. I don't see what the hype is about. I think Taco Bell has better tacos and that's not saying much. Hamburger was average. Fries average. I can think of a few MUCH BETTER fast food places: Chik Fil A, Popeyes, Chipotle, to name a few...

Was happy with the service today..... they were nice and friendly...... There were no lines..... was happy about that. The ice machine was out but the person taking the order was on top of it ..... got your glass with ice in it and you were ready to go.

I guess its an okay place to eat fast food. If you go at night, different story. Got an order of their 99c tacos, worse tacos ever. The tortilla was more like a piece of gum, and the lettuce was brown and I remember lettuce being greenish. Also got some curly fries with a chicken sandwich, the chicken was fine, the fries? No so much. They game me nothing but crumbs, and not even halfway full or them. Worse service through the night. 18th st by Sunfresh Market.

I don't go here if I can help it. The staff doesn't pay any attention to what they're doing. They typically run out of things...uhm, like large glasses for large drinks? What kind of fast food place runs out of large drink containers? But, I must tell you. The greazy little 2 for $1 tacos are frigging amazing!

MY 100th REVIEW!! And what better to ring it in, than by celebrating with Jack in the Box! The day I drove by the Jack in the Box being built, I literally got teary eyed and wanted to cry! Jack in the Box is by far the BEST fast food chain EVER! I really wish there were words to describe my love of JITB! I did go to JITB at 1:30 am a few days ago, and had to wait in the drive thru line for an hour and half... which wasn't pleasant... but I am sure after a month or so of JITB being around, all the hype will mellow out and things will be more predictable, less wait time, etc... But the 20 cars waiting an hour and a half to get a jumbo jack and some curly fries, shows you that Jack in the Box is some serious shit. Seriously GOOD shit. The location is a little bizarre, but if business keeps booming for that location the way it has been so far, it'll just be a matter of time before JITB takes over Midtown! Then Independence! And beyond!!!! Your business will bring more Jack-Joy to gals and gents all around KC. So get down there, grab yourself a chicken sandwich, some tacos, an antenna topper, and the house sauce and have yourself a good time!!!!!! :)

Maybe I am missing something or, perhaps, the cooks at Jack in the Box were off there game when I visited. But I tried the 99 cent tacos and wasn't impressed. I like fast food fixes as much as the next typical Midwestern who watched Super Size Me, and stopped eating fast food for a month but then decided that it was OK to eat a cheeseburger and fries every once in awhile from Wendy's (or Burger King, McDonald's, Jack in the Box ... it's America ... you have the right to choose). However, Jack in the Box just didn't work for me. Again, it may have been the timing. But I found the tacos to be pretty lackluster. I was hoping for better than Taco Bell. And they were not. I'll probably try this again at some point and try something other than the tacos.

Update: There is now another Jack-in-the-Box on Johnson Drive, right off I-35. I have been back to Jack in the Box a few times and although the food is still better than most fast food restaurants and the menu is more extensive, I feel that it is more expensive. A meal for two shouldn't cost quite so much at a fast food joint in my opinion. But I sure love their seasoned fries!

I like bad fast food tacos as much as the next guy, but these are beyond bad. The overwhelming flavor is of slightly stale corn. I asked for sour cream, only to discover a paper packet of sour cream in the bag, which tells me these tacos are assembled in a factory somewhere and employees in the restaurants just reheat them, which for some reason I find to be significantly more gross than if the shells and other toppings had been prepared in a factory, shipped, and reheated / assembled in the restaurant (ala Taco Bell). I find that I'm not sure how to reconcile that, but I'm going to roll with it. Moving on... Typically, when out of town I have found JitB to be decent little fast food joints with perfectly serviceable burgers and pretty good 24-hour fast food breakfast options. I'm sure eventually this location will get into gear, but so far every burger I've seen--mine and everyone I've gone with or talked to about it so far--has come with a layer of mayonnaise at least as thick as the burger itself. I like mayo, but that's just disgusting. Fortunately, it is wipe-offable. Despite having been open for a couple weeks, the lines are still sometimes insanely long. Despite *that* I've not seen the chaos of totally screwed up orders one might expect, so kudos to them for that. However, unless you absolutely must have a Jack fix RIGT NOW, and I can't imagine why you would, I'd suggest waiting a few months until they get a few more stores open or people realize it simply isn't good enough to justify waiting in line for 45 minutes. Or, probably, even ten minutes.

ZOMG, you don't know what you've been missing until you try their tacos here. Two for $.99. Reminds me of home ( for those who miss the Burger King tacos, you know what I'm talkin' bout! I haven't had them since I left IL! ) Decor: This is really pretty cool - they have a big ol' metal Fireplace! The place is well lit, no worries about parking - and there are several other restaurants in the immediate area that we're planning to try, as well. My order: (4) tacos, small curly fries, and a small drink -- Under $6 out the door. This place should be very popular for a quick dinner. Minor issue - they kinda messed up my fries order, but they Made It Right(TM!) The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely planning repeat visits :-)

Went here with a friend for lunch and it was great as far as fast food is concerned. I used the the kiosk they have right when you get in to order my food while my friend ordered at the counter (wanted to see if there really was a time difference in delivery). I ordered the Jumbo Deal w/cheese which comes with jumbo jack with cheese, 2 tacos, fries and a drink (got medium fries/drink) came to a total of $5.49. Swiped my card at the kiosk and went to sit down with my friend. Our orders arrived at the same time and the food tasted great. The fries were hot and crisp, the hamburger had great toppings with nice flavor and the taco was yummy (could only eat one). All in all in was a nice experience especially considering we went at noon when they were having a lunch rush but even with a lot of people that employees kept the lines going, delivered food fast and were friendly. If I'm ever in the area again and need a quick bite to eat I'll definitely stop at Jack In The Box.
